Editorial calendar: schedule WordPress publications

Publyra turns planning into action: pick a day, a time and a WordPress site, and the article is created there as a future post. WordPress then publishes it on schedule, with no daily manual step.

How it works

From draft to scheduled publication

  1. 01

Set your target rhythm: publications per week and preferred days.

  2. 02

Choose a calendar day, a draft article, a WordPress site and a time.

  3. 03

See scheduled and already-published articles for the month at a glance.

  4. 04

Adjust when needed: WordPress publishes scheduled articles automatically.

A calendar that follows your rhythm

The editorial calendar shows scheduled and published articles on one monthly grid. You define a target — publications per week and preferred days — and Publyra compares reality to that target.

Rhythm compliance is displayed as a percentage, and alerts warn you when a publication is coming up or when the weekly target is missed.

  • Monthly grid of scheduled and published articles
  • Configurable rhythm up to 14 posts per week
  • Preferred publication days and times
  • Alerts for upcoming publications and missed rhythm

Planning that relies on WordPress

Scheduling an article creates a WordPress "future" post at the chosen date and time, with the selected timezone. WordPress then publishes it when the time comes using its native future-post scheduling.

You stay in control: a scheduled article can be unscheduled back to draft as long as WordPress has not published it yet.

A lever for consistency, not blind automation

Scheduling does not bypass review: only existing drafts are scheduled, and you explicitly choose the article, site, date and time.

The future publication is then triggered by WordPress. This separation keeps the editorial decision upstream while avoiding a manual publish every day.

Availability

The editorial calendar is available in the dashboard; scheduling to WordPress depends on your plan’s CMS access.

Important limits

  • Scheduling needs an existing draft and a connected WordPress site on an eligible plan.
  • WordPress publishes future posts according to its own scheduling: make sure the installation can run its cron.
  • Timezones should stay consistent between Publyra and the target WordPress site.

FAQ

Questions about Editorial calendar: schedule WordPress publications

Does Publyra publish scheduled articles automatically?

Publication is triggered by WordPress, which natively handles scheduled posts. Publyra prepares the future post; WordPress publishes it at the planned time.

Can I schedule an article without publishing immediately?

Yes. You choose a future date and time. The article stays a draft until the scheduled moment.

Can a scheduled publication be cancelled?

Yes, as long as WordPress has not published it yet. The article then returns to draft status.

Does the calendar force a publishing rhythm?

No. It helps you set a weekly target and visualize the gap, but nothing is published against your will.
